The first week of school can be stressful for children and for parents. From our Kids Playce Atascocita family to yours, here are a few tips for our parents to help make the back to school transition a little easier.
For Kids Playce Parents:
Arrive in time for breakfast.
Breakfast is an important part of your child’s entire day. A healthy breakfast provides your child with the necessary vitamins and minerals that affect concentration and provide much needed energy. Kids Playce Daycare and Childcare Learning Center provides our children with breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Please make sure your child arrives in time for breakfast.
Label your Child’s Items.
Protect your child’s personal items from getting mixed up or lost by adding a label with your child’s name. This is especially helpful on items such as lunch kits and jackets.
Communicate Pick-ups with our Friendly Kids Playce Staff.
At Kids Playce, we take our responsibility for your children with the utmost seriousness, therefore we implement careful planning and organization throughout our drop-off and pick-up procedures at each school. If your child leaves his or her school for any reason throughout the day, please notify our office prior to our pick-up time.
Always remember to sign your child in when you arrive at Kids Playce in the morning, and sign your child out when you pick your child up each afternoon.
For All Elementary School Parents:
Speak to Your Children about Buses and Parking Lot Safety:
Please help us stress safety at home by discussing with your child the importance of staying with his or her teacher prior to our arrival. Children should stay with their assigned groups while at school and never enter the bus loading areas until our qualified care givers arrive on-site to assist them.
Help Keep your Little Ones Free of Germs and Sickness:
Sending your children off to start a new school year can be exciting as they progress and become more independent. However, many elementary schools do not remind children to wash their hands throughout the day, which can contribute to the spreading of germs. Please encourage your children to wash their hands several times a day while they are in school. Doing so will help them to stay clear of viruses and other contagious illness.
